Cookie Policy
Last updated: February 14, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how ZeroDrift, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on zerdorift.com. ZeroDrift is an enterprise AI compliance middleware platform; this website is primarily a developer-facing product and documentation site. We keep our cookie footprint minimal: no third-party advertising trackers, no behavioral profiling. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognize your device, store preferences, and measure page-level usage. We also use related technologies such as browser local storage (for example, to store your cookie-notice dismissal state).
3. How We Use Cookies
The following table lists the cookie categories in use on zerdorift.com. The table is fixed-layout so long cookie names do not push the description column off screen.
| Category | Examples on zerdorift.com | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Session cookie (authenticated dashboard), CSRF token, cookie-banner-dismissed-ts (localStorage) | Session to 12 months |
| Preferences | Documentation theme (light/dark), previously visited docs pages | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Self-hosted, anonymized page-view analytics (no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, IP truncated) | Up to 13 months |
| Marketing | Not currently used | N/A |
4. Notice and Choice
zerdorift.com operates under a notice-only consent model for US visitors. By continuing to use the Service, you acknowledge our use of cookies as described above. You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time through our cookie notice banner (which can be reopened via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer) or by configuring your browser.
5. Universal Opt-Out Signals
Where applicable state law requires, including California (CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon, we honor browser-transmitted opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") for sale and targeted-advertising categories. When a GPC signal is detected, our cookie banner script suppresses analytics initialization for that browser or device, regardless of any prior dismissal state. Because the Company does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, GPC primarily affects analytics initialization on this site.
6. Third-Party Cookies
The Company uses self-hosted analytics to avoid third-party analytics cookies wherever possible. Where a third-party service provider does set cookies in the course of operating a necessary function (for example, a content delivery network or embedded documentation widget), we have contractual agreements with those providers limiting their use of data to the specific service they are providing. We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies on zerdorift.com.
7. Managing Cookies
- Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the page footer to reopen the cookie notice and opt out of analytics.
- Browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies; see aboutcookies.org for browser-specific instructions.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality of the authenticated dashboard and other Service features.
8. Changes and Contact
The Company may update this policy when the analytics stack or consent approach changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revision.
